System Support Engineer
We are looking for a smart, innovative System Support Engineer to join our clean energy company. The System Support Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the installation of smart meters at customers' home and also support engineers in configuring grid equipment. This position requires a creative and problem-solving mindset, always ready and willing to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
Technical Expertise:
- Develop a deep understanding of our microgrid architecture, including hardware, software, and communication protocols.
- Ability to manage integration with smart meters and troubleshoot as needed.
- Ability to deep dive into technical manuals and understand how to configure, modify, and maintain the device.
- Strong technical skills in supporting and maintaining hardware.
- Ability to utilize remote monitoring tools to assess the performance and health of microgrid systems and take proactive measures to address issues.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the engineering and product development teams to report, analyze, and resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with remote Engineers and Customer support teams to provide on-site support when necessary.
- Work closely with Engineers to configure and manage different hardware on site.
- Work closely with Electrical engineers in wiring smart meters at customers' homes/residences.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and FAQs for internal and external use.
- Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams to enhance their understanding of our microgrid systems.
Customer Support:
- Provide timely and effective technical support to customers in person, email, phone, and remote assistance in collaboration with the Customer Support Team.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot microgrid system issues, ensuring prompt issue resolution.
- Assisting customers with the installation and setup of MicroGrid systems, providing guidance and troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, hardware engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in technical support, preferably in the renewable energy or tech industry
Strong understanding of electrical systems, renewable energy technologies, and microgrid architectures.
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-solving mindset with keen attention to detail.
Familiarity with programming languages and communication protocols used in solar applications is a plus.
